Collab-MD was created by a nurse practitioner who knows firsthand how frustrating it can be to find the right collaborating physician—especially when you're faced with limited choices, high upfront costs, or a matching company that takes a percentage of your ongoing collaboration fee.


We wanted to create a different approach: one that gives NPs the freedom to browse available physicians, compare their options, and choose whom they'd like to contact.


You can explore physicians before paying a joining fee, and once connected, you and your physician establish your own working relationship directly.

Yes! Create a free NP account to browse available physicians before paying the joining fee. You can see their licensed states, specialties, typical collaboration fees, and whether they support controlled-substance prescribing.

When you're ready to connect, the one-time $250 Founding Member joining fee includes your first physician connection.

Additional connection credits are $25 each or five for $100.

There are no monthly platform membership fees, your membership does not expire, and Collab-MD never takes a percentage of your ongoing collaboration fee.

When you select a physician, one connection credit is used to unlock their full profile and direct contact information.

The physician also receives your NP profile and contact details, so either of you can initiate contact right away.

From there, you can communicate directly, discuss your expectations, and decide whether collaborating is a good fit.

No assigned matches. No middleman. You choose.

When establishing a collaboration, the NP will typically need to arrange for their collaborating physician to be added to their professional liability (malpractice) policy as an Additional Insured.

This is generally handled through the NP's malpractice insurance carrier. Coverage availability, requirements, and any additional cost will depend on the carrier, policy, and nature of the collaboration.

We recommend confirming these details with your insurance provider before finalizing your collaboration agreement. 

Collab-MD connects NPs and physicians but does not arrange or provide malpractice insurance.

Connecting with a physician gives you direct access to their contact information and allows you to begin discussing a potential collaboration. It does not guarantee that you and the physician will ultimately decide to work together.

Both parties have the opportunity to discuss expectations, fees, availability, and whether the arrangement is a good fit before making a commitment.

The decision to collaborate is entirely between you and the physician.

No! Collab-MD does not take a percentage of your ongoing collaboration fee or charge monthly platform membership fees.

You and your physician negotiate your own collaboration fee, payment arrangements, and working relationship directly. Those payments remain entirely between the two of you.

Collab-MD does not prepare or manage collaboration agreements. Once connected, you and your physician work together to establish an agreement that meets your state's requirements and reflects your individual practice needs.

Many state NP associations offer collaboration agreement templates or guidance to help you get started.

Collab-MD helps you find each other. What you build together is entirely up to you.
